What I collect — and why
This site uses PostHog (PostHog Inc., US cloud) to understand how visitors use it: which pages are viewed, how far people scroll, which buttons get clicked. This analytics data isanonymized and aggregated — I use it to improve the site, never to identify you personally. No data is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.
PostHog stores a small identifier in your browser's local storage to tell returning visits apart. It is not used for cross-site tracking or advertising.
Newsletter (CAN-SPAM)
If you subscribe to the newsletter, I store your email address for one purpose only: sending you the newsletter. Emails comply with the CAN-SPAM Act: every email identifies me as the sender, includes my physical mailing address, and contains an unsubscribe link — one click and you are out, no questions asked, within 10 business days at the latest. Your email is never shared with third parties beyond the newsletter service required to deliver it.
Contact form & direct line
If you reach out via the contact options on this site, your message and contact details are used solely to reply to you and handle your inquiry.
What I do NOT do
- No advertising tracking or retargeting pixels
- No selling or renting of data
- No cross-site profiling
- No dark patterns when you want out
Your rights
You can ask at any time what data is stored about you, request a correction or deletion, or opt out of analytics entirely. The easiest way: reach me via the contact options in theDirect Line section of this site. I respond personally — usually within a day.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws (for example California, Colorado, or Virginia). I honor verified requests from all US states — and anywhere else in the world — as a matter of principle, not just where the law requires it.
